CMS names language initiatives coordinator

Lockwood Elementary School Principal Rodolfo Arceo has been named coordinator of English Language Initiatives with Clovis Municipal Schools.

A school news release stated Arceo began his career with CMS in 2011 as a Spanish teacher at Clovis High. He has also worked with bilingual families through the Bilingual Summer Institute and Migrant Mentor Program, and served as an English Language Learner case manager.

His newest mission is to “expand language services for district students,” the news release stated.

Lockwood Elementary is shifting to a preschool center as part of district consolidation.

Arceo has a bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a master’s from Wayland Baptist University.
