Lose the bling when traveling

The skies and streets are busy with

traveling during the holidays, but what you wear to travel in doesn't have to be. In fact, your outfit is one of the first and most important to decisions you'll make at the beginning of your travel plans.

For starters, you definitely want to make sure what your wear is comfortable. But sometimes even comfort is not the key. According to the November 2017 issue of Town & Country magazine, there are ‘19 Things You Should Never Wear While Traveling.’ Here are the first that made the list:

Sweatpants: ‘Friends don't let friends travel in Sweatpants.’ I'm not sure I agree with this one. Whether you choose to wear sweatpants to travel in or not depends on two things: My transportation method and how far I might be going. I think if you're transporting yourself in your own personal vehicle, sweatpants are just fine no matter how "slob" the look my be to onlookers.

A strong fragrance: I agree with this one, a thousand percent. In most cases no one really wants to smell a strong fragrance anyway, traveling or not. But in this case, it’s best not to overwhelm other passengers with strong scents considering the possibilities of others' allergies.

Provocative clothing: Everyone has their take on what is considered provocative dressing. The best way to avoid awkward stares or discomfort is simple in this case. It doesn't take a lot to know what’s considered appropriate dressing. Everyone has had to follow the rules of a dress code at least once in their lifetime and so should consider what they should or should not wear.

Complicated shoes: When all else fails grab a pair of sneakers. You can’t go wrong with a comfortable shoe.

Loud, expensive jewelry: I agree with this one wholeheartedly. Not only do you not want to set off metal detectors but you may not want to run the risk of drawing too much attention to yourself.
