Empty stocking fund - Dec. 2

  • Special circumstances: Mother was suddenly laid off of her job and it was a shock. She has no income coming in now.
  • Clothing needs: Girls size extra large or size 36 men's pants; boys size 10-12, shoe size 5; boys size 5, shoe size 2; girls size 2T, shoe size 5-7; boys size 14-16, shoe size 9; boys size 14-16, shoe size 8, boys size 12, shoe size 6.
  • Toys list: Girl, 9, Barbie; boy, 8, airplane or truck; boy, 4, anything that makes noise; girl 16 months, any musical toy or doll; boy, 12, any type of game; boy, 11, any game; boy, 10, any types of car.
  • Who's helped: Around 350 families who've asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.
  • Donations: Can be dropped off at the CNJ, 521 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, N.M., 88012. Envelopes should be clearly marked "Empty Stocking Fund." Checks must be payable to "The Salvation Army."

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., Clovis, or gifts may be purchased for specific children or seniors by choosing an Angel tag off of trees located at North Plains Mall, Walmart in Clovis, Hastings and St. Clair Orthodontics.

The Portales News Tribune is accepting Empty Stocking Fund donations at the newspaper office at 101 E. First St. Donations may also be mailed to the PNT at P.O. Box 848, Portales, NM 88130. Envelopes should be clearly marked to indicate they contain a donation for the Empty Stocking Fund.
