Where: Farwell and Texico
When: 10 a.m. (CDT) today
Background: Originally a rodeo event, Border Town Days is now a yearly gathering of members of two strikingly similar towns on each side of the Texico-New Mexico border to chat and eat.
To do: There will be an arts and crafts fair, vendors, music, carnival rides, games and contests.

Bike Contest — 10 a.m., Citizens Bank in Texico
Parade — 11 a.m. from Texico to Farwell
Barbecue — Noon at the Farwell City Park
Performances and music — 12:50 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
