    According to Clovis police Capt. Roman Romero, 11 vehicle accidents were reported to police from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, but all were minor with only one minor injury reported. There were only two minor accidents in Portales today, and no roads have been closed due to weather, according to police officials.     CLOVIS — During Thursday’s regular Clovis City Commission meeting, commissioners upheld a prior decision by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny a request to have a parcel of property rezoned from residential to mixed development. A motion by Commissioner Tom Martin to approve the rezoning request died for a lack of a second.     Shannon Lamont Jackson, 38, of Clovis was sentenced to 77 months in federal prison Thursday for drug trafficking and violent crimes, according to a press release issued by the Department of Justice. Jackson was arrested on Dec. 3, 2015, on an indictment charging him with distributing heroin on Sept. 6, 2015, in Bernalillo County.
